The imperative phrase: stop, look and listen, was initially used by railroads to help avoid accidents at railroad crossings. It is certainly great advice for drivers and pedestrians, but it would also serve those well who reach a milestone in life such as graduation. Often a graduate’s heart is set on events in the future. Even before graduation, eyes are focused on newly established goals and desires. Graduation might be a good time for careful evaluation. Perhaps a scrapbook would be a useful tool for this process. Many wonderful memories are lost without visual reminders.
