During my morning walk, I felt something in my left shoe. At first, I tried to ignore it but it didn’t take long to realize I would have to stop, take off my shoe and remove what felt like a rock. Sure enough, there was something in my shoe, but it was not a rock. It was a piece of grit not much bigger than a grain of sand. It is odd that something that small could cause that much discomfort. It is also hard to imagine how disastrous a so-called small sin can be. Sin should bother us spiritually just as something in our shoes bothers us physically. Take care of sin quickly. Confess it to God and ask for forgiveness. Your daily walk with God will be much more pleasant.
